Always something going on

Last night when going to a party, we stopped off at a 7-Eleven for some ice or something. Some leery guy winked at my mom twice when we were in the car waiting for my dad to buy it. This ensued once my brother and I actually understood what she was freaking out about.

Mom: oh god oh god THIS IS BAD I WANT YOUR DAD TO COME BACK ALREADY

Me: So, we're in the car alone and a pervert was staring at you?

Littlest!bro: *turns to me, grins* So I guess he was feeling the flow?

Me: ...OH MY GOD, DON'T RUIN THAT FOR ME. *SMACK UPSIDE HEAD*

Yes, he had watched ZeXal dub that morning.

I just realized that I turned twenty today.

mom and I tried our hand at making apple pie for the first time today. It came out a little burnt, but awesome and more delicoulsy tangy and less sickeningly sweet than store-bought apple pies. Also flour, flour everywhere. And homemade cake and milk rice with mung beans and and and and later I'm getting a salmon dish for dinner and it's my favorite fish and aaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Anybody else feel that quake?

Long story short, going on a vacation for a week. A day or two in Myrtle Beach and then off to Disney World! It's gonna be great. :D So yeah, I won't be on the computer at all. Gone from this Sunday to next Sunday/Monday.

Lost power last night. Still don't have power. Also had to go shovel snow.

Oh yeah, and my college's still open. Plus side: it's the first day of the spring semester (technically, yesterday was but they closed it before I could have my evening class) so it's highly likely that we're not gonna cover much and I get to use the school's internet. And claim usage of daddy's laptop again. Yaaaaay~. <3

I GOT MY DAD'S LAPTOP!

I gotta be careful with it, some screws still need to be put in, but it's working so my dad is letting me jack it whenever I need it! So that means I don't have to give up the family computer to bros whenever they want it~~~~

yeah, it's an old, ornery motherfucker. Last time I had it fixed by a family friend he reccommended that we get me a new one because it would cost less than to keep replacing parts for it, but we didn't exactly have the funds for that and still don't and now that temporary fix we settled on seems to have worn off and now my laptop won't even leave the opening startup screen. Whoopie.

And it's gonna be even HARDER for me to get on this time because my dad's laptop is broke too-the screen is hanging on by a single hinge and for whatever reason it hasn't come back from the shop yet-so the only computer I have is the one big family computer that everyone wants dibs on. And is in full view from the living room and stuff. And the college libraries and labs are almost always full or blocked off for only certain majors. And it'sjust. Argh.

Generally they do this once a year, people come around in the morning and afternoon and the local community cooks up their best dishes and sell them to raise money for the temple. Lots of people who normally wouldn't stop by do, and we occasionally get people who catch what's going on as they pass by and stop in for a snack. It's been getting more and more popular and active every year.

This year it's gotten so popular that they decided to do one in the evening. To make it more appealing, they've even managed to set up a pretty decent looking stage (that we've used for maybe a year now, it's still so new lD) outside, and local kids and adults set up their own little dancing groups, do some traditional dances that occur every now and then in the middle of the auction. Littlest bro's in the children dancing group, and he's one of the best they have, good enough to get a solo dance (with three other kids that were pretty much acting and not really dancing, just moving props, but yeah), and mom's pretty much convinced that now that the dancing group is permanent, she's gonna keep him in that group since he's the only one out of the kids who doesn't have some sort of artistic release. =B

Now, I've always been popular with the younger kids there, but I haven't been going to the temple regularly for a while now since I have to pick up the autistic bro and do schoolwork, so some of the younger kids who barely know me don't really pay me much attention.

Until they found me doodling a pictar of kizunaprotector. SUDDENLY I AM POPULAR AGAIN.

So they go on to be impressed with my subpar drawing skills and constantly ask me if I know how to draw other things (to which my response to all of them were: I probably need a reference 8U), and I eventually promised the doodle to one of the kids who was a particularly big fan of 5D's. I had to keep correcting myself all the time because I was always using Japanese names instead of dub names, BUT I LIKE WATCHING THE DUB SO YEAH, GOOD THING I KNEW.

So yeah, I told them I was gonna scan it and then they could have it.

I'm hoping they don't start flooding me with requests the next time I end up there. BV

and now with this post I realize I should probably make an art post today or tomorrow, I have quite the backlog. 8U
