Episode 017 – Aim for the Top! Let’s Go, Genin!

Jackie-sensei had lost no time in putting Gori and Hyde through their paces. While it was gratifying to see that they had just as much (if not more) difficulty with the training as the kids had (watching them flee from the large boulder garnered quite a few laughs from the group), Subaru still felt uneasy. He knew those two had no intention of actually putting in the years of training that was likely necessary to be a master worthy of inheriting the dojo. Heck, Subaru himself only planned on staying for the weekend at the most. There was no way any of them would stay remotely long enough to inherit the mansion and the right to search it for whatever treasures it held, whether an OOPart was included amongst them or not. No, those two would search and plunder its depths once they got the chance. Subaru would either have to stop them…or find the OOPart first.

Episode 015 – Between Heaven and Earth! The Tale Engraved in the Lines!

Characters: Hoshikawa Subaru, Solo, Rob Sidkic (sidequest character)
Rating: PG-13/K+
Warnings: Mild cursing? Kind of? Eh.
Notes: Rob Sidkic and Sugar Suet actually are characters from the third game, but they really only exist to give sidequests. They're the only Satella Police officers with names that I can remember off the top of my head, though, so Rob gets to be the officer that was shown being injured in an attempt to recruit Solo in Black Ace/Red Joker, and Sugar is only mentioned, never seen. I don't know their Japanese names, and I'm not really assed to find out, but I'm sure they're just as equally...er, punny.
Summary: Those who make their way into the elite ranks of the Satella Police are the best of the best, and the responsibilities they take up reflect that. Duties include: monitoring and eliminating any threats to the nation, ensuring world peace and safety, and picking up young children after particularly destructive playdates. A series of snippets of the cyclical battles between Rockman and Burai, as observed by a Satella Police officer.

Warnings: Beating on kids? Well, Solo's backstory is pretty sad as it is with only the implications...
Notes: Basically this is my musing from wondering over a specific line from SF3 and wondering why Solo would spout this out of nowhere when it doesn't seem in character for him. Why would he worry about friends betraying friends? This also ties into how exactly he learned he was from Mu, when he apparently was alone for most of his life.
Summary: "I think he will listen to you...And then you will become close friends...But one day he will turn on you, and you will regret everything." Solo's life as a child, and how he came to that conclusion himself. Was there something in his past he neglected to tell Subaru, as it was too painful to recollect?

Warnings: Dark. Pretty dark. Actually, it's Bad End dark. I BLAME GABE. IT WAS HIS IDEA.
Notes: Bad End AU. oops what are emotions. Also this is a sidestory chapter, authored by Gabe. But don't be fooled! Just because it's a sidestory doesn't mean it's not important to the plot! It's got some nice...foreshadowing. :) It messes with the plot I had planned just a tiny bit, but who cares? I can work around it! Especially when it's got some adorable and heartbreaking headcanoning for these two side characters.
Summary: He couldn't save them. Why did he keep trying?
