a) I think initially it was because of your awesome huge TL'DR posts of conspiracy and cartoons, and also because I got to know you partially through chat and through Immi and I liked what I saw. :D

I got into alchemy and the occult through a fortuitous sequence of coincidences. My mother's midlife crisis involved dragging my sisters and I through every church, religion, and new-age trancendentalist movement in the greater western Washington area. I'd already had a healthy fascination with Judeochristian and Gnostic history and such due to my upbringing and some of my father's old papers from when he was in seminary, and the experience really opened me up to a whole wider world of religions and religious ideas to study.
Add to that the fact that I was a chemistry geek at that age, and many of the newage stores my mother started chilling at had books on alchemy, which told me I could have religion and chemistry at the same time.
Then add to THAT an estate sale at which I was able to rescue what literally was almost the entire library, personal work journal collection, and lab set of a groovy old greek alchemist from the junk heap.
Then add to that the fact that I'm socially inept and had almost literally had nothing else to do with my time. Sprinkle with neurosis, garnish with addiction-prone personality, and voila! Serves hundreds!

To answer the question. LONG STORY TIME! :D :D :D

Three, four... was it five? years ago while on coffee break at work I was at 7-11 and picked up a copy of Shonen Jump because it had a Yu Yu Hakusho cover and I went "ooh, I remember half-assed fanning on this in college!" while flipping through it I saw they were running my most favourite, favourite, FAVOURITE part of the DBZ manga ever (the stuff with #17 and 18) so I bought it. And then started picking it up every month (because I totally fell in love with Shaman King too) until I finally subscribed. Because I wanted to get my money's worth I read everything, even YGO which I had seen an episode of on TV years before and honestly had thought was total trash. XD Thing is, I started picking up SJ maybe six or so issues in, so they were running the early YGO chapters. Which, of course, are AWESOME because they don't involve boring card tournaments. And even the stuff that did involve cards was epic (oh, Death-T ♥) But it wasn't until Viz went and jumped past all the card tournament arcs and started running the AE arc when I really fell in love. Because Yugi and his other are so goddamn GAY for each other (I have since turned into the worst Puzzleshipper ever because Yami in Battle City and the way he treats Yugi during all of that really pisses me off, but you know... XD) that's when I started watching it on TV. And then I was an elitist snob who wouldn't watch GX for a while, and then zombies happened and I went "goddamn THIS is the kind of awesome I've been missing" so I decided when 5Ds happened I would get on the crack train right from the beginning........ and then there was no crack, just card games being srs bsns and I had a sad. D: XD

a) I think Ary introduced us over either Yugimons or Earthbound. Or was it Eyeshield? One of those. XD

b) I think it was something unintentional on the authors' side, but that "Kurita cried and kicked stuff when you left", and immediately after a drawing of Hiruma kicking stuff, well, I'm not the only one whose mind was sent to her gutter XD (yes I'm stoopid y u ask).
c) Thanks, I try my best, even if sometimes I'm afraid to be too obnoxious.
d) IT AHD TOBE DONE!
e) Well, probably not the hardest to learn (I've been studying Russian, German and Japanese, and compared to those English is the linguistic equivalent of a wuss :-P), but surely really hard to handle: the fact it has pretty loose rules sometimes makes you forget it has rules at all, or at least this is what happened to me. Also, the phonetics are really peculiar, that's a thing that all of us that know English as a second language come to realize in really painful (or funny) ways sometimes.
