Writer's Block: Kids or child-free?

I'd have a kid. I've always liked playing with children and always got along better with them than I have adults. I identify more with them, I guess. It helps that I've had to help raise my three younger brothers, and still help out in the family lots. Sometimes it feels like I'd be lost without a family. I'm not in a relationship now, but whenever I do get in one and we're close enough to consider it, we will decide together.
However, note that I said kid, not kids. I've had and seen enough bickering and roughhousing between me and my brothers to know that having more than one in the house might be a bit much for me, as much as I'm used to having more than one kidlet around. (And I might end up changing my mind about that sooner or later :| )
