Late videogame cooing. No, it's not HGSS, surprisingly.

I know this is late considering the game was released back on Sept 14th, but I just realized: I'll probably never get this game, considering my parents want me to be studying and try and graduate college early. What stings more is that my brother's birthday next month, and he's the one who gets all the video games-most likely he'll be the one getting it...it stings.

Especially since I've started spoiling myself with walkthroughs and music and and and

GUUUUUYYYYYSSSSS

THIS MUSIC BROKE ME

I WANT THE GAME SOOOO MUCH.

GLaDOS is a sentient robot in the game Portal. At first, she guides your character through a series of mazes, under the pretense of "testing", with promises of psychological counseling and cake as a prize for reaching the end. However, as you go through the 19 floors, she becomes more and more suspect, even directing your character through a laser robot testing facility designed for use in the military due to the premise of the actual testing room being "closed for repairs". Once you finish the levels, GLaDOS attempts to cook you in an incinerator, which you escape from and find the room, despite first her friendly warnings, then pleading, and then outright death threats. At the end, you find her, but before she can kill you, something drops from her. You destroy it, and it is revealed you destroyed her "morality core," something installed in her after she flooded the lab with a deadly neurotoxin in order to keep her from doing so. Without the morality core, she begins to flood the lab with a neurotoxin, and you have to knock off her other three cores and destroy them to destroy her before the levels get too high for you.

This game was the origin of the "Faithful Companion Cube" fanbase and the ever so famous quote:

"The cake is a lie."
