Dub Episode...

What? Just What.

Did I miss a marathon or something? I don't think I did, considering that no one has been discussing the dub eps in between.

And it doesn't look like they're switching around the episode order either, because during the segment where they showed what happened previously, it shows episode 41-Yuu's duel with Aki(za).

The episode in itself was pretty good,

1) Go(o)dwin tells off Leo quite a few times, and quite a bit more cuttingly. Poor baby.

2) Yuu's talk with Aki(za) stays roughly the same, but slightly more shippy (because 4Kids likes pressing the main ships, of course).

3) Jack is being very bitchy about this whole "saving the world" schtik, and threatens to leave several times  if he doesn't get all the answers. "If the world is going to end, I might as well spend the last few days cruising around on my runner!!!" Oh, dub!Jack.

but I have a few qualms to pick:

1) Godwin tells Jack that it's highly likely that Carly is fighting for the Dark Signers. Way to spoil the surprise for him, Jack.

2) They don't mention anything about the Dark Signers being zombie cultists dead and being unlikely to be saved. Instead, they mention that their decks are near impossible to beat, and it's not entirely sure whether they can lose.

3) Yusei gives a whole speech about how he knows he has to face the DS's with everything he's got, which sort of makes the epiphany at Martha's house later on rather useless.

4) WE MISSED ALL THE FUCKING COOL EPISODES WITH CARLY!ANGST AND MARTHA!BADASSERY!!! COME OOOOOOOOOONNNNN!!!!!

Given the way the previouslies were cut, I'm calling a scheduling fuckup and I'm thinking about checking KTLA later this morning to see if it gets straightened out for the west coat. Either that or it was airing during the week and nobody knew (although that would have only been five episodes then and we skipped six, so it can't be that) .....or, possibility three that just occoured to me: they could be ommitting them for Saturday morning fare, but they'll eventually air on the Cartoon Network (which would blow since I don't get the Cartoon Network up here) Either way, they're obviously not completely ommitting episodes to the point of them not existing. I'm still leaning the strongest towards option 1 though.

And truthfully, they do mention that it's possible that the Dark Signers can't be saved. It's done in that "we have to be incredibly vague for the FCC and can't flat out say that anyone is going to die" doublespeak. But it's there. Because I was making >:| faces until I managed to pick it out. XD

(and you know, honestly, I'm not even all that upset over missing out on all the Carly and Martha and Divine and all that.... because: DO YOU REALIZE HOW CLOSE THIS PUTS US TO CROW VS. JAEGER!? =D It's entirely possible that it will air NEXT WEEK!!! I WILL BE SO HAPPY IF IT DOES!!! If that makes me a bad person, so be it. XD)

That's one hell of a scheduling fuckup. I figured that as well, since the other options didn't really make sense. And I don't get Cartoon Network either, since we don't have cable, so guhhhhhh...

True, they do. The whole "not entirely sure if we can purge them of the darknessssss" appeased me somewhat, but you know. :/

(I just wanted to see this ep so we could see her comical comments on doing the cleaners and opening the special black tea. Because I know that 4Kids would milk that for all it's worth. Bleahhh.

Crow vs Jeager is still awesome tho' because we get to hear more of his beautiful voice, and we haven't had enough of that. It makes me excited for the beginning of dub!65 if it ever shows, just for that. :D )

I have been informed that according to the DirecTV guide, next week appears to be Crow vs. Jaeger. Which kinda lends credance to the "not airing them on Saturday mornings but probably going to air them on the Cartoon Network" thing....... although why would they skip the Aki episodes? The only iffy stuff in that was the slapping of a small girl and that was probably cut. Then again, her in the hospital would make no sense without the episodes before in there....... not that it made much sense jumping ahead to 42, anyway. Really, anyone who hasn't already seen all these episodes is probably so confused right now. XD

.........either way, I still can't be that upset. Not if I get Crow vs. Jaeger next week. ♥
