I just...I dunno. The entire episode was more or less boring duel.

The Juudai eyecatch for the tenth anniversary special was adorable. :D

At least we know that Yuusei's pad is in Neo Domino City now, and not Satellite. (And yet they still don't know his birthdate, height, weight, occupation, and bloodtype. Lovely.)

Yuusei plays the fool for once and forgets what Ushio told him: don't use Synchro monsters you idiot. And so Machine Emporer Wisel absorbs Stardust's Attk points by making Stardust equip to itself. So it's basically another Relinquished-type monster that only absorbs Synchros. At least we got to see dragon bondage. :D But then Yuu is pretty much left defenseless and spams the hell out of Scrap-Iron Scarecrow (and I believe this is the first time in the show we get to see it used twice successfully in the same duel).

And Yuusei gets a peptalk from Jack which sets off the birthmark-stealing-plot-device and summons Savior Star. While I am happy about the sparkles, Yuusei summoning his "ace" against the very first lackey serves as a warning bell. Seems as if we're gonna be seeing a lot more of that now. As if the opening wasn't enough of a alarm bell... It also makes me wonder what sort of new "ace" will be pulled out in the final battle. :/

Ghost bailed off the bridge. Now that was awesome. Then we see one of the Men in White (TM) (courtesy to Icey) take the duel disk away from his broken body, which the trio (arriving conviently after the dude leaves) finds out is a robot. And apparently, these robots are common, according to a FULLY HEALED USHIO. (Oh Ushio. You recover so quickly its amusing and adorable.)

PREVIEW: Now this looks cute. Duel Academia hijinks! Jack makes a "WHYYYYYY" face, Divine!spawn is a sullen recluse, and Yuusei is dueling (again? Give someone else the spotlight!) someone with Ancient Gear Golem~! (HAIL TO GX YAY!)

I knew this episode was going to be boring as hell, because Yusei duels always are. But the fact that they trotted out the deus ex machina just makes it even worse somehow. The only thing that could have redeemed it in my eyes is if he had summoned his stupid savior dragon and then proceeded to lose. Because, seriously, Yusei needs to lose. (and to prove that I'm not totally biased, Crow could stand to lose too since he hasn't yet either)

Next week makes me totally happy though. Save for Yusei stealing the spotlight more. But wee adorable Divine clone! Jack and Crow antics! DUEL ACADEMIA!!!!! ♥
