The Magic Butterfly made Jack and his monsters relax.
I have no idea, but the "Volcano! Inferno!" song from Mother 3 seems fitting for that fire... thing.
Maybe it's Giygas in a fire spirit form... Or the love child of Light of Destruction (who is also Giygas naturally) and uh... possessing a volcano?
